Join the ASID Texas Chapter Fort Worth Design Community for our November event hosted by ASID Industry Partner The Stone Collection. Enjoy some some pre-holiday fun, hors d’oeuvres and wine while Rebecca Sutton, AKBD, from Kitchen Design Concepts, presents the followng program:
Navigating Social Media and Creating Your Content Calendar
Do you own your own business, or work for a smaller company? Don’t have the funds or need to hire an outsider to run your social media? Most of us don’t, which means we are left to our own devices when it comes to running our company’s online presence – and it’s a tough world out there! This session is for anyone who wants to get a jump start on learning about the best social media platforms for our industry and how to utilize them and grow organically. Now, how do you organize yourself to post every day? If you answered, “a content calendar!” you would be correct. We will review what a content calendar is, the different ways to write one up, and create a week’s worth of content during the session to help you see how useful they can be! Using this knowledge, you will be able to begin your new online journey and feel more confident doing so.
After the presentation, visit the vendor tables to discover the various products The Stone Collection has to offer. Each vendor will supply a raffle ticket for a chance to win 6 amazing prizes, including a drawing for a free slab!

The Fort Worth Design Community is one of four design communities that make up the ASID Texas Chapter, which is part of the larger American Society of Interior Designers [ASID], a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both. The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,400+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Since the Texas Chapter is quite large both in membership and in geographic expanse, most of the programming throughout the year takes place in the Design Communities: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio. Our members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Within the state and around the world, they provide valuable services and useful products to their clients. Our members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare of the public.
